Customer classification according to § 67 WpHG

Metafina GmbH classifies banks, insurance companies and financial services institutions as professional customers in accordance with § 67 of the WpHG. Other persons are considered private customers. Metafina GmbH considers the appropriateness according to § 63 (10) WpHG to be fulfilled if it acquires financial instruments from the seller, since in this specific constellation the seller already has the security before the sale. Adequacy checks can nevertheless be carried out by Metafina GmbH, so that the classification of customers who purchase securities from Metafina GmbH and are not a bank, insurance company or financial service provider can be changed to professional customers. In this specific case, the customer will be informed about the respective change in the customer classification, which will then take effect after the declared consent of the customer.
